My name is Henri MAKAKI, CEO & Founder of Kmer Foods sarl. My business has launched in September 2015 and has been financed by the chairman Tony ELUMELU's Foundation. The opportunity to apply for and get admitted into Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Program (TEEP; www.tonyelumelufoundation.org) presented me with the best opportunity to implement an idea that I had in my mind for long. Our aim is to promote Cameroonian's Culture through its diversity of gastronomy.ercial fish farming.
Name: Henri Makaki
Sector: Traditional Food
Brand: KMER FOODS
We have created KMER FOODS restaurant to reconnect Cameroonians to their cultures, their origins and make Cameroon a tourist dream destination through the gastronomy.
The Cameroon currently has more than 380 districts and 10 provinces. Each region has its specificities. Our restaurant offers the most appreciated traditional dishes from all the 10 provinces of Cameroon. We create traditional dishes only.
We also have a website to present all menus, the recipes and to make online ordering for home delivery.
Our longterm goal is to launch more than one restaurant KMER FOODS in each region of Cameroon to be near by our customers and to export the concept in other countries in Africa, Europe and/or the Americas.
The USP in our restaurants would be to present and celebrate the variety of Cameroonian food, culture, lifestyle and ambience!
“It is important for me to mention, that I’m very grateful to Tony Elumelu Foundation’s support and to Mr. Bert Evers’ mentorship (www.expectmoreinternational.org).”
